Is it a lot to spend over $2000 so far this year?
Pricephile has officially been updated! Although I’ve been terrible in keeping track of my spendings on my blog. I just made an update, and thank god for bank statements!
So far I have spent quite a bit on clothes, totaling to over $2400 since I first started this project. To be honest, I’m not quite sure if I’ve spent above or below average since I have no other data to go on but my own. That said, I personally think that I spend a great deal and I can also restrain myself a great deal (so far 2 months without spending a dime on clothes). I don’t intend to spend in August either since I’m saving up for my trip to New York in September (I’ll try my best to keep my spendings below $500 for that month). Unfortunately, the Fall season is notorious in dishing out stunning new things that a girl needs extra willpower to resist.
From the look so of things, I may be on track of perhaps making it to under $4000 total spent on clothing for 2009. Sure, that could be $4000 I could’ve saved for a downpayment on a house or condo, which I had considered last month (hence the $0.00 spent in June), but unfortunate events happened and the plans fell through. The only things I particularly forsee myself spending on in the fall would be pants and sweaters.
My sole regret on my purchases so far has been the Levi jeans, they’re of a terrible banal blue. Although soft, I’ve only worn them once, and will be stuffed in my closet until the winter. Otherwise, I’m quite content of my purchases so far. Now I just have a hard time looking casual since casual doesn’t seem to be part of my wardrobe…
