I have to wonder..why did CK outsource their Collection line to Italian licensees? Perhaps they were trying to be cost effective...but after falling through two licensees, they&#039;ve totally missed out on the mass luxury boom in the 2000&#039;s and now have to reposition themselves during a recession, talk about bad luck!

Theoretically, it&#039;s good to think local first, however, if local designers can&#039;t produce high quality clothing, have a good marketing strategy, it would be difficult to survive in this really competitive field. However, Montreal seem to thrive on creativity and DIY designers, although I personally would like to see more high end designers emerge from the snow banks.</description>
