umm wearable is a state of mind... if you can put it on it is "wearable"... Closemindedness is the only reason you would call something unwearable.

Think about it... Pants use to be considered "un-wearable" for all women".
This is the evolution of fashion and this is Rei's fantasy.
People should be open to wear whatever they want.
She's amazing for folowing and believing in her vision...

Sometimes their creations are designed NOT to be wearable, but instead are about the ideas. Then designers have to create collections that ARE wearable for the mass public.

I share your ideas of her designing style, sometimes designers go far from their imagination and create things that are not wearable.

Hope her new collection will bring refreshed styles and views!

She's so well revered in the fashion world though, so I'm wondering what is it am I missing to see her the same way. I think the reaction is half half, one half is ecstatic that she's doing the collaboration, others are saying she's selling out. So we'll see how this one goes, but I wonder how popular her brand is to the mass public, it's not really a name I hear mentioned very often, at least that's my impression.

I'm so with you Dahlia. Seriously I don't get CDG. Though I'd like to. This whole, Rei Kawakubo does H&M is creating quite a stir on the blogs. I don't think people are down with it, in general. K
